Conference AV services: what a managed AV package includes
A managed conference AV service covers four things: sound the back row can hear, vision the whole room can read, lighting that makes presenters and cameras work, and someone competent standing behind it all. We survey the venue, specify the kit against the room rather than a price list, and run a full technical rehearsal with your speakers before doors.
Presenter management is where most conference AV quietly falls apart. We collect decks ahead of time, standardise aspect ratios and fonts, run them from a single show machine with a backup mirrored to it, manage comfort monitors and countdown clocks, and keep a stage manager in contact with the desk. Speakers who arrive with a deck on a laptop at 8:55 are absorbed without a gap in the programme.
For board-level and broadcast events, everything critical is duplicated: redundant radio mic channels, a mirrored playback machine, a secondary switcher path and separate power feeds, with a written failover plan. It costs a little more and it is the reason nothing visibly goes wrong.
